What we do

Thrive Advocacy Herts & Essex CIC is a parent-led, volunteer-run organisation supporting families and young people navigating SEND and Early Help.
How we help:
- Advocacy & EHCP Support — help to understand your rights and be heard in meetings
- Peer Support Groups — safe, welcoming spaces for parents and young adults to connect and share lived experience
- Activity Days — inclusive, low-pressure days out for vulnerable children and young adults to build confidence and friendships
- Tutoring Services — gentle, tailored learning support for those struggling in mainstream education
- Art Therapy — creative, therapeutic sessions to help children and young people express themselves, regulate emotions and thrive

No judgement, no jargon — just honest, friendly support when you need it most.

A banner on the wall reads 'Thrive Advocacy,' with smaller text beneath. There are also support and help notices on the wall.

Why We Do What We Do

We started Thrive Advocacy because we’ve lived it.

As parents and professionals navigating SEND, Early Help and EHCPs ourselves, we know how lonely, confusing and overwhelming it can feel — the meetings, the jargon, the fight to be heard.
We believe no family in Herts & Essex should have to do that alone.
We started Thrive to be the support we wished we’d had: honest, lived-experience advice, a safe community that gets it, and practical help for our children and young adults to truly thrive — through peer support, activity days, tutoring and art therapy.
We’re stronger together.
